Carpath Software was created in Bucharest, Romania, in 1994, as
a Joint Venture, with German and Romanian capital contributed. Its main goal was to
promote (create) Offshore programming in the form of Outsourcing contracts with
foreign entities. Such a successful example is the established co-operation with our
US partner. By intermediate of the NY-based consulting company 4G Integrated Systems,
Inc. we have managed to approach the US market with our offer for Romanian software development services.
For the domestic market the following have been developed: 3 ERP applications, Salaries V5, one of the most successful
payroll software Romanian-made products, MANAGER XXI, a complete accounting system, analytical accounting, payments
and orders and DELTA 2000, a calculation system for the constructions sector. All three systems have been successfully installed
at over 200 users during the last 7 years.
At this point we want to focus on outsourced software development in Europe. Our presence on the
customer's market, at the client premises, is a new opportunity to win over the end user's confidence.
All the steps of a project, from the terms of reference to the end product, will be unified and be the
duty of our Project Manager in Frankfurt.
The opening in Brasov (Kronstadt) this year of the second programming office is the natural outcome of our strategy,
since Kronstadt is to Romania not only the cradle of German culture and tradition, but also a place where the spirit
thrives in one of the best reputed universities in the country. The head of the Kronstadt subsidiary of Carpath Software
is one of the numerous people in our team and who has three years' experience abroad. As a mathematician and IT specialist,
having graduated the university in Kronstadt, he has worked in Germany, Frankfurt am Main on major projects on Java and
held appreciated seminars in his capacity as a docent in Java programming.
